Our seamless integration of over-the-air updates ensures continuous improvement and functionality.

The first generation of Noam 2 project started with the Noam 1 project. Noam 1 is a high-quality, Shabbat-compliant water dispenser with a strong reputation in the Israeli market. Zeron has developed an advanced electronic system that allows for a significant upgrade, featuring a more modern and innovative display. This enhancement improved user interaction and maintained Noam 1 as a trusted product for consumers.

After submitting Noam 1 to mass production and producing over 10K kits, Zeron moved to the next generation of the Noam series. The Noam 2 is a hybrid water dispenser designed for Sabbath observance, offering hot, cold, and warm water. It features automatic Sabbath mode and energy-saving settings. The device includes safety mechanisms and a user-friendly digital display. For this project we developed 3 boards, main board (board 1) running Espressif chip and RTC chip, controlling and monitoring all the systems operations – temperature, boiling and cooling, maintaining date, time and holydays. Board 2 integrates the front interface for human interaction (HID), it includes a digital Display board with a TFT screen. Board 3 includes six touchpads for operating the Minibar.

One of the biggest challenges of this development was the accuracy of the Real-Time-Clock (RTC) – it’s the electronic component that is responsible for the time management of any products these days – from kitchen weight to highly advanced computers. There is a correlation between the cost of the RTC and its level of accuracy – the more expensive it is, the more accurate it is. We chose a cost-effective RTC and developed a dedicated custom firmware that measures its deviation and knows how to correct it to reach the desired level of accuracy. That way we had a cost effective BOM and an accurate RTC. Zeron developed the hardware, firmware, software & took the product from concept to mass production. Stay tuned Noam3 is on it’s way.
