The project began in February 2020 when we were asked to develop a smart refrigerator system called “The Pantry”. The system aimed to allow tenants in residential buildings to purchase snacks and groceries at any time with automated payments. Zeron developed two custom electronic boards, integrating weight sensors, USB, MDB, Ethernet, and I2C communication protocols. The firmware, written in C++ for an ARM processor, seamlessly connected to an Android app. The project faced significant technical challenges, including managing high-voltage circuits, temperature sensors, and precise real-time data transmission, all of which were resolved within a rapid development cycle.
